When can I visit the Estate and pick flowers?
To ensure you have a great visit picking your own flowers, numbers are limited, so bookings are essential. Please select the link below to see available days and make your booking.
What are the Estate rules?
On arrival, please drive up the driveway and through the gates. There is parking available, and we will be here to assist you.
Please make sure to always check in on arrival.
Cutting Flowers When you start picking your flowers, the variety of choices may be a little overwhelming. Don't worry though, all you need to do is take your time, go slowly and as they say, “stop and smell the roses”. Please cut each stem and then place in your vase as you go. Please don't cut and gather flowers in your hand, leaving your vase behind. Freshly cut flowers need to be placed in water straight away to hydrate, and you may also cut more flowers than you realise will fit in your vase. Importantly, please don't force stems into your picking vase once it is full. This will result in stem damage and significantly shorten the vase life of your flowers. You can always purchase an additional vase on the day if you would like more flowers.
Flower Snips Flower snips are supplied and must be returned to the check-in when you have finished picking.
Vase Water Please ask for an immediate top-up if your water spills. All flowers need constant water.
Children Children under 9 years are not permitted at the flower picking events or Estate visit events due to our unfenced lake. Parents must supervise their children at all times. Children of any age participating in professional photoshoots are welcome.
Damages Persons who damage any of the statues or garden structures will be liable for any repairs.
Pets Small dogs under 7kg are permitted. Visiting dogs must be on a leash, in a carrier or pram and must be friendly with people and other dogs. Owners MUST clean up after their dog. Any dog displaying aggressive behaviour or constantly barking will result in the owner having to remove their dog from the Estate. Dogs and other pets can visit to participate in private photoshoot bookings.

For all other weather, including light rain, the event will go ahead. Tasmania is known for frequent weather changes, so we recommend packing a hat, rain jacket, and warm clothing.
Is the Estate suitable for people with disabilities?
Yes, the Estate is disability friendly. Car parking is just metres from the flower beds. There are very flat to gently sloped walking areas throughout. Paths are compacted gravel or well-tended smooth mown lawn. All areas are able to be accessed without using steps. The flowers are easily picked from a wheelchair, and spacing around most of the raised flower beds is at least 90cm. The toilet is ambulant accessible. Tables and chairs are scattered throughout the estate and shade is easily found when needed.
Can I book the Estate for a photoshoot?
Depending on the time of year, the Estate is an ideal location for a flower and garden-inspired photoshoot. Professional photographers and non-professional photographers are welcome. Please contact us for further information.
Can I make a large group, club or private booking for picking flowers or estate visits?
Yes, we are happy to accommodate groups, clubs or private bookings. Please contact us to enquire.
What facilities are available?
Payment Options: We accept credit cards, bank transfers and cash.
Parking: Parking is available on our property. There are no long walks to get to the flowers.
Restrooms: We have an ambulant accessible toilet available for guests.
Visitor Comfort: The Estate is comfortable for elderly visitors and wheelchair users.
Are there bees and insects?
Bees love flowers just as much as we do. There are no hives kept on the estate; however, we do have visiting bees and other insects. Thankfully, bees are keen on minding their own business, which is collecting pollen from the flowers and are really not bothered by us. If there is a bee on a flower you would like, just give it a moment, and it will soon head off to another flower.
If you are allergic to bees and jack jumper ants, which occasionally cross paths with us, we recommend you bring your own EpiPen. We do not have these available on the estate.
Can I have my hens, birthday, bridal or baby shower or other celebration at the Estate?
Yes we are happy to accommodate groups, clubs or private bookings. Please contact us to enquire.
Do you host weddings or elopements on the Estate?
Not at this time.
